Our Mission

Street Reality is comprised of a non-denominational team of evangelists from churches in the Spokane area. We comb the downtown area of Spokane, searching out the brokenhearted, offering prayer, hope and encouragement that Jesus Christ loves them more than they will ever know. God has allowed us to be witness to healings, miracles, conversions, and His Holy Spirit working in the hearts of the contrite. Now we are bringing the testimony of those events to you via our television program.

In this generation, seeing is believing!

Our television program showcases real videos of GOD’S Holy Spirit touching the lives of many in the Spokane community. We show real life miracles and HOLY SPIRIT’S presence embracing the brokenhearted with HIS peace. You will see peoples’ wounds instantly healed right before their eyes. In this generation, seeing is believing! Everything you see on our program is real, there are no actors. These are real people with real problems, responding to the love of JESUS CHRIST.

The secondary goal of our work is to train others to break the ice and to speak with and be of service to strangers by offering prayer and edification through the Holy Spirit. We teach people to listen to that still soft voice of the HOLY SPIRIT as HE tells us whom to approach. Our goal is to teach others so that they can build their own teams and can then train others to do the same, thus perpetuating the kingdom of God in the hearts of men.

We are out in the community of downtown Spokane every Friday Night.

How We Got Started

Street Reality was founded by Sofiya Ralls and Tamara Patterson in 2013 as a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Organization based upon the street evangelistic team that Sofiya had been heading in Spokane, Washington for over seven years. Every Friday night, a team of street evangelists would head to downtown Spokane to provide prayer and ministry for any whom were indicated as needing prayer by the Holy Spirit.

Eventually, Tamara felt called by God to start a reality talk show which would document what the Holy Spirit is doing on the streets of her home town. What seemed like an insurmountable goal became more and more of a reality as the Holy Spirit opened doors for the work. Sofiya came into contact with the crew at Community Minded Television (CMTV) who offered her a spot to shoot and air their show.

I cried out, “My brokennessthis is YOUR will for me?”

It was right then that an invisible blanket of understanding from HIS MAJESTY fell upon me, and I began to see that in my brokenness, compassion is learned, and how ONE moves gently when in the presence of another who is wounded. I now see that in brokenness there is a deep need to be loved by ONE who is bigger than the pain. It wasn’t until I was broken that I realized that Jesus was the ONE I needed.

…there is a deep need to be loved by ONE who is bigger than the pain.

This is where I allow the LOVE of JESUS to be poured out from the depths of my soul. This is where I am to be transparent, and let others see that I am human after all. That there is a LOVE of a LOVER that exists in me, and by my willingness, allow HIS LOVE to show through me by means of HIS countless words and actions and by tender thoughts.
In me there is a GOD I must reverence and submit to. So as I grow more and more like my Savior, JESUS CHRIST, I must show to each person, whom GOD brings my way, there is a reverent friendship, a tender love.

I have been street ministering since I was eleven years old. Most teenagers would find it to be a waste of time spending every Friday on the streets praying for people, but I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. Satan came against me hard when I was younger. At nine years old I found myself at a place in my life that was so full of despair and self-hatred that I tried taking my own life a couple of times.

God gave me His love and peace and trained me to be a warrior for Him.

During those dark days, I cried out to God. I made a promise to Him and asked that if He would help me through that time in my life, I would follow Him for the rest of my days. God gave me His love and peace and trained me to be a warrior for Him. Going through so much and at such a young age, I developed a big heart for those suffering with their own struggles. I want everyone to know the love of God, because that’s what changed me in just two short years from being a depressed and suicidal pre-teen, to becoming a strong hard-core Christian, passionately spreading the love of God to the many devastated people on the streets. Our God is a God of second and third chances. He never gave up on me, and instead gave me a renewed love for life. I feel it is about time the rest of the world have that same feeling and testimony of their own and know God is real! He comes when you call out.

Street Reality has given me that opportunity to serve God by spreading God’s message of love, hope and salvation. Seeing God touch so many people, seeing them cry and accepting His love… seeing miracles change peoples lives… I couldn’t imagine a better Friday night!
